NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) or Norwegian Public Broadcaster is the biggest broadcaster in Norway. Producing Radio, TV, Web and services for mobile phones.
Jørn Jensen has been working in NRK from 1986, coming from a 10 years career as a musician. He started making radio programmes at NRK’s Radio Music department. Since then, he became increasingly involved in programme production and the creation of new digital stations. In 1995 he created NRK’s first DAB-only station, with 24hour classical music. Since then, Jørn has been an advisor for different NRK departments and is currently advisor for the director of Technology, dealing with the strategy for NRK’s digital future on all NRK platforms. Jørn has also been a regular member in the WorldDAB Technical Committee for many years. Jørn Jensen’s main contribution to the WorldDAB Steering Board would be his skills, experience and knowledge in combining matters related to both Technology and Content, from a practical as well as a strategic level. Additionally, Norway will be the next DAB market successful country that should therefore be represented on the WorldDAB Steering Board.
