Won Sup Shin, Deputy Director, Radio Division, Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) PDF Print E-mail

shin_korean_150.jpgWon Sup Shin, Deputy Director of the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), is responsible for developing strategic initiatives for KBS’s digital radio. 

As a Project Director of the Radio Digitization Committee of the Korean Broadcasters Association, he has led projects involving 10 radio stations to facilitate digital radio in Korea.

Won Sup Shin was appointed a member of the Radio Digitization Study Group organized by the Korea Communications Commission, where he has explored service models for digital radio that fit in Korea.     

With over 15 years’ radio producer experience at KBS, he remains passionately involved in the evolution of the medium of the radio.  Won Sup Shin produced numerous shows in diverse designs and applications of multimedia to innovate radio service.  The production of “A Voyage to Cyber World” in 1997, an experimental realization of “Visible Radio” in the early stage of the Internet, won him the “Creative Spirit Award of the Year” from the Korean Broadcasting Producer Association.

Won Sup Shin holds a Master’s Degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
